Terms of service

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into these Terms to use TravelBesties. By using the app you confirm that you meet these requirements.

• You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your profile truthful and up to date;
• You are responsible for activity that happens through your account and for keeping your login secure;
• You may not impersonate anyone, create an account on someone else's behalf, or keep more than one account if we ask you not to.

TravelBesties is a social app that helps travellers discover, connect and chat with other people and communities. We provide the platform; the connections, conversations and any meetings that follow are between you and other users.

We want TravelBesties to be a safe and welcoming place. You agree not to use the app to:

• Harass, bully, threaten, defame or harm other people;
• Post or share content that is unlawful, hateful, violent, sexually explicit, exploitative or otherwise objectionable;
• Solicit money, advertise, spam or promote commercial services without permission;
• Impersonate others or misrepresent who you are;
• Share other people's private information without their consent;
• Engage in illegal activity, including anything involving minors, trafficking or the sale of illegal goods;
• Attempt to access, disrupt, copy, reverse-engineer or interfere with the app or its systems;
• Use bots, scrapers, crawlers or other automated means to access the app, or to collect, harvest or copy other users' information or any app content, including for training or developing artificial intelligence or machine-learning systems.

We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behaviour.

You keep ownership of the content you create. By sharing it through TravelBesties, you grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host and display it as needed to operate the service. You are responsible for the content you share and confirm that you have the right to share it.

You can report content or users that break these rules, and you can block other users directly in the app. We review reports and may remove content and restrict, suspend or permanently remove accounts that violate these Terms. To protect the community, we may also take steps to prevent removed or banned users from returning.

TravelBesties helps you meet new people, but we do not verify every user's identity or background and we are not responsible for the conduct of any user, online or offline. You are solely responsible for your interactions with others. Always use good judgement, meet in public places, and take sensible precautions when meeting someone in person.

• TravelBesties offers optional premium features through subscriptions and purchases;
• All payments are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play under their terms — we do not handle your payment details;
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period;
• You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your app store account settings;
• Except where required by law or store policy, payments are non-refundable.

The app — including its name, branding, design, layout, look and feel, features, text, graphics and underlying software (other than user content) — is owned by the operator and protected by intellectual property laws. All rights are reserved. You may not, under any circumstances, copy, reproduce, republish, modify, adapt, translate, reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, scrape, data-mine, frame, mirror or create derivative works from any part of the app, nor use it to build or assist in building a similar or competing product or service, nor use any part of the app or its content to train, develop or improve any artificial intelligence or machine-learning model or dataset. Any rights not expressly granted to you are reserved by the operator.

You may stop using TravelBesties and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, misuse the app, or act in a way that harms other users or us.

The app is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that it will always be available, error-free, or that it will meet your expectations.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for the conduct of other users, arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have that cannot be limited by law.

We may update these Terms or the app from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable at the operator's principal place of business, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections you are entitled to in your country of residence.
